Accessibility Statement
This website is designed so that every resident can review election information and submit a nomination. This statement describes the accessibility features that are supported today.
Commitment to Accessible Use
We are committed to making the 2026 Resident Council nomination website usable by people of all abilities, and to following widely recognized web accessibility guidance where practical. Accessibility is treated as a normal part of building and maintaining the site, not an afterthought.
Keyboard Support
The site can be used with a keyboard alone. Interactive elements are reachable in a logical order using Tab and Shift+Tab, focusable elements show a visible focus indicator, and a “Skip to main content” link appears at the top of every page so keyboard users can bypass the header navigation.
Screen-Reader Support
Pages use semantic HTML, headings in a meaningful order, labeled form fields, descriptive link text, and appropriate ARIA attributes so common screen readers can announce content and controls. Errors are grouped into a summary at the top of the nomination form and each field also announces its own error.
Text Resizing and Zoom
Text and interface elements respond to the browser’s built-in zoom and text-size controls. You can enlarge the page up to 200% without losing content or functionality. Layouts adapt to narrow screens so the site remains usable on phones and tablets.
Language Support
All content is provided in both English and Spanish. A language switcher is available in the site header and footer, and your selection is remembered while you complete a nomination.
Reporting Accessibility Problems
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us so we can look into it. When reporting a problem, it helps to include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and a brief description of what went wrong.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort. Improvements may continue to be made to this website in response to feedback, updated guidance, and changes to assistive technology.
